CBUS is soon to be home to two different pickleball facilities. Pickle & Chill plans to open 11 indoor + outdoor courts this October and Real Dill Pickleball Company plans to open in Polaris in the fall of 2023.
And today, we’re serving up what you need to know about these spots. |

Pickle & Chill, 880 W. Henderson Rd. 🏓
This spot comes from David + Cari Kass, the husband and wife duo who opened Tennis Ohio, which is why it also shares the same address and space with Tennis Ohio. Once open, it will be the first place in Ohio to offer a place exclusively for pickleball with food and drinks.
The 25,000 sqft project will be completed in two phases, with phase one adding six indoor courts for the October opening. Phase two includes five outdoor courts plus a bar and lounge area with additional seating, and is expected to finish in the summer of 2023.

Real Dill Pickleball Company, near TopGolf and IKEA 🏓
Joining TopGolf in Polaris is Real Dill Pickleball Company, which will be adjacent to the golfing venue once it opens. Not only will this new facility host the local community, it will also be home to tournaments + competitions as it stands as one of the company’s only locations in the US. According to its website, Real Dill locations typically feature eight to 12 courts, with the average venue offering seven indoor courts and one outdoor. Memberships are available, or guests can rent out a court for roughly $30 per hour.
Not into pickleball? That’s okay — Real Dill also offers food + drinks, ping pong, and shuffleboard.

While The Buckeye Lady might be new to the block, she’s certainly not new to the game.
On Sunday, she celebrated the opening of her first-ever brick-and-mortar location after first starting as a homegrown operation during the pandemic in March 2020. Per her post, it began as a way to support her friends in the service industry and has now blossomed into a full-time job, still with philanthropic efforts.
You can find The Buckeye Lady at 4493 N. High St. on Wednesdays-Sundays.

Editor’s Pick: While I can’t say I’m too skilled at pickleball, my ping pong game is pretty good. It’s all thanks to spending many hours at High Beck on Mondays for free pizza and ping pong — if you want something, you gotta work for it.
